Sheilah Buack-Shelton, Director of Operations

Sheilah comes to Gostanian Law Group with over a decade of legal experience employed previously by Fortune 500 companies and law firms such as Qualcomm, Genentech, Jones Day, and Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP. As a seasoned versatile professional, she brings broad leadership experience over day-to-day office operations, business administration, process improvement, employee relations and HR, recruiting and talent retention, information technology, organizational budgeting, internal controls, branding, marketing and safety protocols and procedures. She has the proven ability to communicate effectively across business functions and positively impact decision making to proactively identify and implement innovative solutions that increase efficiency and efficacy. Sheilah specializes in coaching key stakeholders to identify opportunities in processes and implement strategies and systems to improve engagement and productivity of the entire Team.

Sheilah earned her B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley. While at Cal, she competed as a Division One Athlete on Cal’s Gymnastics Team. Post-graduation she served as Assistant Coach for over two years & continues to mentor young gymnasts. Sheilah is a free-lance copywriter, helping to develop effective brand campaigns to successfully position and expose businesses to their clients through the creation of copy for digital platforms, websites, digital banner ads, and social media. For over a decade, Sheilah served as Assistant Executive Director to Culture Shock Oakland, a non-profit 501(c)(3), whose mission is to “cultivate self-worth, dignity, and respect, for all people.” Additionally, she serves as an instructor for Prison Yoga Project helping to bring trauma-informed yoga directly into the prisons to help with healing, transformation and rehabilitation.
